Drew has started modeling our behavior...by talking on the "phone". Last night Doug and I were watching some TV while Drew was winding down for the night. All of the sudden we see him standing at his play table with the remote to his ear saying "Hello? Hello?" Doug had just set down the phone from one of his many conversations of the evening and Drew wanted to be as popular as Daddy.

The video I took was accidentally erased, but this one was preserved. Not as cute as the first, but very sweet - he is especially talkative toward the end. Who knew the first words out of a little kiddos mouth could be so darn cute, but I have to say every new word that comes up is very exciting for me!

It's been a while since I counted up Drew's words, so I thought I'd make a list for myself (and future baby book records - not to mention to prove to the doctor that he does not have a "hearing problem".)

First words:
"No, no, no" (All the while wagging his finger and laughing)
"Daw" (Dog, at first it was "ha ha")
"Go go go" (I'm going to crawl really fast - pretend to chase me so I can turn around and crawl back and give you a kiss)

life of a puppy

This particular video is not a prime example - but somedays I feel as if I am raising a little puppy into a big boy. For example, Drew loves to crawl around the house with a sock in his mouth (he's doing this as I type). As I said, he's crawling not walking, at 13 months, though quite quickly I might add. When we say, "Do you want to go outside for a walk?" his face lights up and he starts jumping around. He also perches at the front window just peering outside. And last but not least, he just adores other dogs; some of the first words out of his mouth were "ha ha ha", aka Dog - this always happened when he heard or saw a dog. He can also now say "Pup" - Still no "Mama" or "Dada".

This video shows just another past time in our household. He found a toy he liked in his room, brought it into the living room and starting pushing it around in his tool box. The video was taken last night and as soon as he woke up this morning he went straight to the tool box.
